Discover our ‘Into the Wild’ installation, inspired by orangutans and their mischievous character; synonymous with the hotel.
Hanging playfully in front of The Hari’s window, will be a 1-meter-tall topiary orangutan, surrounded by wild foliage, bamboo, and flowers to resemble a luscious rainforest, which will also decorate the hotel’s façade.
In keeping with The Hari’s commitment to achieving environmental and social sustainability, partnered florist Atelier Emmanuel, will be creating the installation with British-grown flowers, grass, chives, and euphorbias, to encourage biodiversity.
The display will be in collaboration with the Born Free Foundation, a charity working to protect the natural habitat of orangutans in the wild. Admirers can venture through the rainforest, into the hotel’s Garden Terrace oasis and enjoy a ‘King Louie’ cocktail – TV’s most famous anthropomorphic orangutan, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Born Free. In-house guests will also have the opportunity to adopt an orangutan, or receive wild-themed amenities, courtesy of the hotel.
The King Louie cocktail combines Appleton Estate rum and crème de banana with smoked orange juice, Campari, and lime juice, topped with an Amaretto float and garnished with a large banana leaf and dried banana chips – the perfect tipple for discovering Belgravia’s wild installations.
