About The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable, General Cashier, Income Auditor) with a hotel finance background to join our Finance team. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual that will:

  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis
  • Taking ownership over General Cashier function
  • Conduct monthly house bank audits, count and balance daily cash drops
  • Take ownership over Accounts Payable function: process invoices, prepare & process payment batches on a bi-weekly basis
  • Monitor the issuance and compliance of Purchase Orders
  • Deal with suppliers’ queries in a timely manner
  • Perform Income Audit processes
  • Perform and assist with Cost control duties
  • Month end duties in the area of Accounts Payable, General Cashier, Income Audit
  • Assist Director of Finance with month end processing
  • Assist Director of Finance and hotel staff as needed
  • Maintain a filing system for all statutory and finance-related document
  • Ad-hoc finance projects

About You

To be successful in your application as Finance Assistant you MUST possess the following:

Essential:

  • Legal permission to work in the UK
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail orientated, able to work to deadlines as set by Management
  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, team and hospitality skills
  • Computer skills: MS Office (especially Excel) and the ability to master systems (Sun Systems, Micros POS, Opera PMS)

Preferred:

  • Experience in one of the following functions: Accounts Payable, General Cashier and Income Audit
