The shortest month of the year has arrived, and it brings with it a number of exciting events, and one very special day in particular, Valentine’s Day.

Continue with the Galentine’s Day fun by heading back to The Hari, where you can satisfy your post-cinema cravings with plenty of bubbles, and selection of sumptous desserts from The Hari Bar, such as nutella filled donut balls and Chef’s style tiramisú.

'RICHARD II'

Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey will be taking to the stage this month, in The Bridge Theatre’s production of William Shakespeare’s Richard II. Taking place from the 10th February, the historic play will follow the life and subsequent downfall of King Richard II. Expect to see the founder and director of the Bridge Theatre, Nicholas Hytner, put a modern twist on the classic Shakespearian play, both in terms of dress production and creativity.

VALENTINE'S AT THE MUSEUM

Located in nearby South Kensington, the iconic Natural History Museum is hosting a very special Valentine’s Day event, closely studying love in the animal kingdom. Valentine’s at the Museum delves into all of the beautiful (and sometimes strange) ways animals find a mate, and is exemplified through science lessons, all the way to dance classes. What’s more, this special ticket will also give visitors access to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition!

'MAKING EGYPT' EXHIBITION

Taking place at the Victoria and Albert Museum’s younger counterpart, Young V&A in East London, families can embark on an exciting journey through history, exploring the world of ancient Egypt. Making Egypt, the brand new temporary exhibition launching on the 15th February, will take a deep look into the creativity of the time, displaying over 200 items, some of which are over 5,000 years old. Keep an eye out for a number of fun activities too, such as hieroglyphics deciphering and creating your very own amulet.

ROBOT ZOO

Returning after an eight-year hiatus, Robot Zoo is officially back, taking visitors on a fun, yet educational adventure. Taking place at the Horniman Museum & Gardens in Forest Hill, the exhibition is made up of robot animals made from household objects, all of which teach important yet interesting facts about the animal kingdom, such as how chameleons change colour.

Comprising of a mixture of workshops, music, art, and family centred shows, from the likes of CBeebies and the BBC Concert Orchestra, it will guartntee no one is left bored.
