HM The Queen - Window Installation

From 6 May – 30 June, The Hari is delighted to display a portrait of HM The Queen, by Chris Levine – a renowned UK-based artist working in the field of illumination art.

‘Lightness of Being’was commissioned by the Jersey Heritage Trust and is an image created during the sittings for ‘Equanimity’ which shows the monarch with her eyes closed. The image was taken in between the sittings during a minute of reflection and a moment’s peace from the bright lights.

‘Equanimity’ was presented to the National Portrait Gallery by the people of Jersey in 2011 and was viewed by over half a million people.
