Iceskating at Somerset House


It’s time to get your gloves and scarves on, ice skating has officially returned to Somerset House! Known as a London cornerstone in the winter season, Somerset House has transformed this year into the magical Swiss countryside, thanks to the help of the Switzerland Tourist Board. From relaxed sessions and skating lessons, to rink-side DJ’s and a Whispering Angel Skate Lounge, you won’t want to miss out on this incredible activity.

Christmas Carols at Royal Albert Hall


Christmas just isn’t Christmas without the beautiful sound of carollers singing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing at the top of their lungs! Located in the magnificently grand Royal Albert Hall, treat yourself to a classically festive afternoon activity; listening and signing along to Christmas carols. With availability on the 16th, 17th , 21st-24th December, witness soloists such as Jess Gillam and Greg Beardsell bring the magic of carols to life.

Walking with The Snowman


Get the whole family involved with this spectacular Snowman art trail this winter. Paying tribute to a timeless winter classic, The Snowman, explore a free arty trail of twelve beautifully decorated snowmen hidden around The Fleet Street Quarter. In partnership with Wild in Art and Penguin’s Random House, the snowmen are also all individually painted and stand on top of plinths made from recycled plastic.

Christmas Retail Therapy


What a better way to spend a December afternoon than wondering around London’s many Christmassy shops and markets! From Battersea Power Station and Christmas by the river, to Anya’s Christmas Grotto and the Spirit of Christmas Fair, you won’t be short of unique gifts for your loved ones. Enjoy a wander with a warming mulled wine or hot chocolate in hand, and a delicious treat from one of the many stalls and shops!

Winter Horse Carriage Ride


Explore further a field by taking a trip to Richmond Park to enjoy a horse carriage ride. Drawn by two beautiful Shire horses from the last working herd in London, explore the beauty this park has to offer whilst fuelling up on warming sloe gin and mince pies. The lovely ride also gives listeners the opportunity to learn about the history of the park and spot the magnificent wildlife the park has to offer, such as beautiful deer.

Winnie The Pooh: Exploring a Classic


Explore the wonders of a whimsical, multi-sensory exhibition of one of Britain’s most loved fictional character, Winnie The Pooh, at the well renowned Victoria and Albert Museum this December. The exhibition focuses on the story behind the incredible partnership of E.H Sherpard and A.A Milne through a series of letters, photographs and sketches.
