What's On in London? November 2023

Bonfire Night


The classically British annual event is returning this year with a bang. Across the city, many Bonfire Night events will be taking place, showcasing some seriously mind-blowing fireworks displays and bonfires. At the top of the list, is the epic fireworks display in Battersea Park. Taking place this year on the on both the 4th and 5th November, the spectacular Victorian park will host a dazzling fireworks and bonfire display, accompanied by a wide selection of stalls selling warming treats and drinks.

Oxford Street Christmas Lights


On Thursday 2nd November, Christmas will officially arrive in the capital. Experience the magic of the Christmas lights being switched on in the most iconic of all destinations, Oxford Street. The festive event will see the return of 300,00 LED lights illuminating the nights sky. To add to the festive cheer, you can even sponsor a star as part of the partnership between Children’s charity, Starlight, and Oxford Street, simply by scanning one of the many QR codes dotted around.

EFG Jazz Festival


Taking top place on the UK’s Jazz calendar, The EFG London Jazz Festival will consist of over 300 live shows, across 70 venues in London, between the 10th and the 19th November. Spanning from Big Bands to Quartets, to jazz visionaries and icons such as Norah Jones, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone’s taste. So, if you want to unwind to the delightful sounds of saxophones, trumpets and pianos, plus many sweet melodies, this brilliant jazz festival is for you!

Lord Mayor's Show


Described as one of the best known, and long-established annual events in London, the Lord Mayor’s show is one not to be missed. The elaborate event, which dates back to 1215, will commence at the Mayor’s residence in Mansion House on the 11th November. Beginning with a two-minute silence to pay tribute to Remembrance Day, the procession will then begin its three-mile-long march across the City of London. Expect to see a plethora of decorative floats, Military bands, mounted knights, and more at this fantastically British event.

Winter Wonderland


Located just on our doorstep, is one of London’s most loved winter destinations – Winter Wonderland. Come along and see for yourself the wonders this magical place has to offer! From the thrilling fairground rides and rollers coasters, to the  Santa’s Grotto and the ice-rink, there is certainly something for everyone, no matter the age.

David Hockney Exhibtion


After a short-lived exhibition just before the Pandemic, David Hockney is back with his thrilling exhibition ‘David Hockney: drawing From Life’ at the National Portrait Gallery. From the 2nd November – 21st January, patrons can witness a fascinating exhibition which explores intimate portraits of five sitters.

Christmas at Kew


One of London’s most thrilling seasonal events returns on Wednesday 15th November. The 300-acre botanical garden will be illuminated to create Christmas at Kew, which is certain to be a festive treat for all. This year, the route will transport you through glistening tunnels and gargantuan kaleidoscopic projections. Its not one to be missed!

London Korean Film Festival


Conceivably one of the world’s most enthralling and mind-bending film genres, Korean film has most certainly caught the worlds attention. Presented by some of London’s most prestigious picture houses, London Korean Film Festival is set to make a stir between the 2nd and the 16th November. The schedule comprises of 40 films, including the likes of A Normal Family and Phantom.
