What’s On in London – November

A little warmth goes a long way. Wrap Up London returns from the 2nd to 22nd November, collecting pre-loved coats to help keep people across the capital warm this winter. The Hari is proud to be taking part, and we invite guests and locals to donate coats they no longer wear.

Simply bring along your clean, good-quality winter coats and drop them off at The Hari. Your pre-loved layers could make a real difference to someone who needs them.

The Hari tip: Have a winter wardrobe clear-out and bring your unwanted coats along on your next visit. Someone else could be very glad of the extra warmth.

On Sunday 8th November, London comes together to honour the servicemen and women who lost their lives in conflict. The National Service of Remembrance takes place at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, beginning at 11am with the two-minute silence, followed by wreath-laying and a march past by veterans. The public is welcome to watch from designated areas along Whitehall and Parliament Street, with no ticket required.

The Hari tip: Arrive early if you plan to attend in person. Whitehall opens to the public at 8am, and security checks and crowds are expected. Check the official guidance before setting off.

Let the music take over as the EFG London Jazz Festival returns from Friday 13th – Sunday 22nd November, bringing ten days of world-class jazz, live performances and exciting collaborations to venues across the capital. From intimate jazz clubs to major concert halls, expect everything from soulful vocals to genre-defying sounds. Highlights include Grammy-winning singer Samara Joy and the festival’s spectacular opening gala, Jazz Voice, at the Royal Festival Hall.

The Hari tip: Look out for Grammy-winning vocalist Samara Joy on the 22nd November and Melody Gardot on the 16th November, two standout performances in this year’s programme.

Belgravia’s Winter Market returns on Sunday 22nd November, from 11am – 7pm, bringing festive cheer to Elizabeth Street with twinkling chalets, independent British designers and seasonal food stalls. Discover handcrafted gifts from local makers, enjoy mulled wine and hot chocolate, and tuck into festive favourites, from turkey brioche to pulled pork sandwiches.

The neighbourhood’s boutiques will also be opening their doors for some Christmas shopping, with mince pies and winter collections to explore. Keep an eye out for a 15ft Christmas tree at Eccleston Yards, too, where a festive light switch-on is planned for the same day.

The Hari Tip: Make a day of it with a wander around Belgravia’s beautifully decorated streets, stopping at the independent boutiques along the way.

Step into a little Christmas magic at Anya Hindmarch’s Grotto, running from the 7th November – 24th December. Children can follow a North Pole expedition through crunchy snow, twinkling baubles and icy caves before meeting Father Christmas for a festive story by the fire. Each child also receives a special gift.

The 30-minute experience is recommended for ages 2–8, with advance booking essential.

The Hari tip: Make a festive afternoon of it with a visit to Anya Café for seasonal treats and a little Christmas shopping around Belgravia.
