Lee Tung Avenue

Lee Tung Avenue is renowned for its European-themed light decorations. In 2025, it will once again transform into the “Luminous Carnival” light and shadow extravaganza. The entire approximately 200-meter-long tree-lined pedestrian street will be adorned with giant Christmas bells, twinkling lights, and Christmas ornaments. Complemented by an 8-meter-tall golden Christmas tree in the atrium, a 7.5-meter suspended LED Ferris wheel, and hot air balloon installations, it creates a dreamy scene reminiscent of a European carnival. The event runs from November 21, 2025, to January 1, 2026. Every evening after the lights are switched on, the entire walkway is illuminated by over twenty thousand smart LED bulbs. Whether with family, a partner, or friends, everyone can stroll leisurely along the spacious pedestrian street, capturing photos and soaking in the vibrant festive atmosphere.

This year’s highlights include the nightly “Luminous Symphony” light and music show. From 5:30 PM to around 10:50 PM, a performance takes place in the atrium every 20 minutes, where the Christmas tree, Ferris wheel, and hot air balloons change colors in sync with the music, transforming the night sky into a flowing canvas of light and shadow. On specific dates in December, there will also be “Let It Snow!” snowfall performances, a Nordic Christmas market, pop-up Santa’s village parties, and performances by various choirs and musicians. This turns Lee Tung Avenue into a must-visit Christmas hotspot in Wan Chai, combining lights, music, snow, and markets, making it especially perfect for photography and Reels enthusiasts to capture the entire luminous walkway.

Hopewell Centre

This year, Hopewell Centre collaborates with “Wonderland” to create the themed “Winter Snow Carnival.” Extending from the atrium to the mall’s periphery, the entire space is filled with Nordic forest-style installations and Christmas lights, exuding a festive atmosphere day and night. It’s particularly suitable for a dedicated photo visit after work or on weekends. The atrium features an approximately 6-meter-tall snow-dusted Christmas tree and a giant toy box scene, allowing for adorable, fairy-tale-like photos from various angles, perfect for couples, friends, or families.

The 2025 highlights are concentrated in the atrium on the 3rd floor of Hopewell Centre. These include the “Winter Snow Carnival” game zone, featuring a Forest Valley bouncy castle, slides, climbing structures, and various traditional game booths (pay-per-play), letting kids burn off energy. On designated days, Santa Claus will make appearances for photos, there will be performances by Creative Kindergarten’s choir, and Christmas creative craft workshops led by QEEBOO, where participants can make mini Christmas trees, festive wooden decorations, and Christmas texture paintings, adding a sense of ritual. F&B outlets within the mall also offer seasonal limited-edition desserts and hot drinks. You can enjoy watching the kids play while leisurely experiencing the rare “snowy” Christmas night in the heart of Wan Chai, either in the atrium or the open-air space.

Wan Chai Waterfront Promenade

The rest areas and expansive spaces along the Wan Chai Waterfront Promenade are adorned with large-scale thematic light installations every Christmas. You can enjoy the urban sea of lights right next to the Victoria Harbour waterfront, making it ideal for family strolls and sightseeing.

This year, the Wan Chai Waterfront Promenade is again included in the “Hong Kong WinterFest 2025” Victoria Harbour night view route. You can take a stroll along the promenade, gazing across the harbour at the 20-meter-tall giant Christmas tree and Christmas town setup in Statue Square, Central, as well as the 3D light show spanning multiple landmark buildings, admiring the spectacular sight of the entire Central business district projected as a winter night sky canvas. The event runs until January 4, 2026. During specified evening hours, the “Immersive Light Show in Central” takes place, synchronized with music and Christmas animations. Simply find a spot along the waterfront near the Convention Centre or on the Wan Chai Promenade to take in the entire Central skyline and Christmas lights all at once. It’s perfectly suited for families or couples to get some fresh air, take a walk, and capture stunning city nightscape photos.

Pacific Place

During Christmas, each level of Pacific Place features different festive decorations. The adjacent Starstreet Precinct is a hidden gem for photos, offering diverse thematic lights and enchanting scenes for the winter season.

This year, Pacific Place adopts the theme “Ticket to Christmas,” collaborating with the Starstreet Precinct to transform the entire complex into a “Christmas Central Station.” From November 14, 2025, to January 2, 2026, it takes visitors on a journey from a Christmas train station. The mall atrium features a large-scale train platform scene, a Christmas train, and multiple photo installations, complemented by ticket elements, vintage suitcases, and festive lights, creating a winter atmosphere akin to a European railway station. Inside, there is also a “Santa Express” meet-and-greet area with Santa and Station Café workshops offering creative experiences like making Christmas wreaths, candles, and handcrafted ornaments, ideal for families and craft-loving visitors to book and participate in.

The connected Starstreet Precinct is also dressed up with Christmas installations and a sea of lights. Its small lanes are adorned with warm light strings, small Christmas trees, and thematic window displays, offering numerous soothing photo opportunities during an evening stroll. You can first experience the large-scale indoor setups at Pacific Place, then walk over to the Starstreet Precinct to leisurely explore its cafes, bars, and boutiques, capturing cinematic Christmas night photos against the more tranquil street backdrop. This completes a winter romantic route combining an “indoor mall + outdoor precinct” experience.
