The Summer Treasure of Miyashiro

June marks the arrival of Japan’s finest seasonal delicacy – Hiroshima Anago (Sea Eel). Sourced from the renowned waters of Miyashiro, this summertime gem is celebrated for its remarkable fat content and a texture so velvety it truly melts on the palate.

Experience the versatility of this summer delicacy through two distinct preparations: savour the light, airy crunch of our Tempura Anago   served with refreshing daikon oroshi, or discover the refined, savoury depth of Anago Oshizushi —traditionally pressed with kombu seaweed to elevate its natural umami.

To complete your meal, we recommend pairing with our selection of refined sakes. The crisp, clean notes of Byakko Junmai  or the elegantly dry Gassan Junmai Houjun Karakuchi  perfectly complement the Anago’s natural sweetness, lifting the palate and balancing its rich, buttery finish.

Book now to enjoy the ultimate Japanese culinary experience in Wan Chai and Causeway Bay.
